For many inmates leaving prison to re-enter society, the fear of failure is a way of life. Will I find a job? Who would hire me? Will my family accept me or trust me? Where will I live? Will I have to revert to crime to support myself? These are just a few of thousands of questions that ex-prisoners think about as they move from incarceration to a free society. The following information further explains the plot of the ex-prisoners journey to a free society.
Number of Blacks in Prison
Nears 1 Million

"We're incarcerating an entire generation of people." Laurie Levensen, Dean of Loyola Law School

The number of African American adults behind bars will hit the million mark for the first time, according to an analysis of Justice Department statistics. That represents nearly an eightfold increase from three decades ago, when there were only 133,226 blacks in prison.

Preventive Crime

In recent years, the Preventive Medicine Movement has exploded in both new research and products sales of natural supplements.  Consumers have decided that there must be a better way to find the root of their problems, improve their health and avoid life-threatening diseases that are considered by the medical society to be incurable. While we are grateful for modern medicine practices, simple preventive medicine programs have proven to be far less expensive and painful.
